A knife slices the air a hair's breadth from your ear, the breeze generated from its passing caressing your cheek tenderly in a mockery of the violent act. It buries itself with a dull thud deep into the wood of the wall behind you. You look over your shoulder and duck as the Darkfriend throws another knife at your head. You dash for the door, stumbling in pain as a thrown knife grazes your shoulder. Running for the shelter of a nearby wagon, your vision starts to blur and your whole body feels numb. Dimly, you realize that the knife that injured your shoulder must have been poisoned! Your knees refuse to support you any longer, and you sag to the ground, watching in horror as the Darkfriend comes to stand over you triumphantly. He grins, then blood gushes out of his mouth. His corpse falls to one side, revealing a fellow Dragonsworn holding a bloodied sword. He grimaces while he checks your wound, then says, "We have to get you to the Wisdom."
